Crazy mindsets

      Today I'll like us to take a look on some crazy and somewhat funny mindsets or beliefs most people do have.
    It comes to my knowledge that about 80-85% of the population of people in Nigeria and about 65-75% of people around the world have this mindset.
  So what are these mindset or beliefs I'm talking about one may ask, it's something i believe everyone has heard people say,from conversations with friends, family members, colleagues at work etc. One would hear things like:
# All women are the same
# All men are the same
# Men/guys are not to be trusted
# Women are all after your pocket(gold diggers)
# All mother in-laws are some sort of witches or wicked
# If you can't beat them, you join them
# Marriage is some sort of bondage
   The list goes on and on , Well society has made us believe some if not all of these things , which gets me wondering if these things are all true, what hope do we have for the future? The rate divorce is on the increase, wives no longer trust their husbands, husbands suspect their wives, good government officials suddenly turn corrupt, this goes on and on.
    This cycle will continue if we as a people, individually do not change this mentality, I do tell people that no two human beings are the same not even twins.
     In this time and age it's alarming that people mostly in Africa and all around the world still live and carry on these mindset. In a world where most women don't or refuse to get married simply because they don't want to be under a man, but i begin to ask myself, is that what marriage is all about?
    I've heard of a case where a woman refused getting married to a man she calmed to love simply because the guys mother was still alive. Hmmmmmmm............ This is the shocking reality of the world we live in.
   I was listening to a radio station and i heard a female talking about how she loves a guy so much but don't know if the guy loves her cos he hasn't made he's feelings known to her.....hmmmm.....What's wrong with that you may ask? I do ask people what book is it written that a guy should make the first move, yes I do know that some guys could take advantage of the girl which is totally wrong but you should also know that most guys are "shy" or maybe afraid of rejection, so nothing stops a girl from making the first move just my opinion anyway.
   This popular saying "if you can't beat them,join them" can be looked at in different aspect of life but has only one interpretation,most times negative tho, people with high prestige and reputation suddenly get their hands soiled, What happened to the option of doing the honorable thing of resigning rather than getting your hands soiled.
     In conclusion I'll say it's high time we all moved pasted this phase and get rid of these mental block as I'll like to call them and move on
