WORK HARD PLAY HARD

         So there i was sitting on my couch, headset on and listening to my playliston my phone which comprises of about fifty(50) songs i virtually listen to every single day, excluding my other songs. Then it was time for Wiz Khalifa's work hard play hard which after listening to over and over again, i honestly think it's a really good song,great beat and most importantly fantastic message behind the song. Yes there were parts of the song he was singing about drinking, smoking and all that but beyond all that and carefully paying attention to the lyrics of the song it contains positive motivating message per se. Yes i know Wiz Khalifa should be the last person to positively motivate anyone(mean no disrespect) but lets separate the message from the messenger.

   Before moving forward lets establish the definition of the term Work; work is  said to be an activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a desirable result.
But while working hard to achieve your desired goal is fantastic, too much of work to the extent where it leads to stress is most definitely not good, ever heard this saying ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES JACK A DULL BOY? A recent study found that workers clocking at least eleven(11) hours a day have a higher risk of depression than people working a standard seven(7)-eight(8) hours a day at work.
       There are several effects of working too much which includes;
Depression
⊙ Cardiovascular problems
⊙ Eye Strain
⊙ Stress
⊙ Fatigue
    If you're most often than not the last one to leave your place of work or constantly picking up an extra shift, you may see the benefits in that paycheck or a robust bank account, but all those extra hours are also affecting your health and at the end decreased productivity/output and increased health problems.

      Which leads us to the next, PLAY; remember your teachers or your parents responds to that famous saying ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES YOU A DULL BOY/GIRL? Responds was ALL PLAY AND NO WORK MAKES YOU A LAZY BOY/GIRL.
So then what is play; one is said to be playing when he/she acts in a manner such that one has fun by engaging in activities expressly for the purpose of recreation or entertainment.
    It is said that too much of everything is bad and so it also applies to play, you should not bring your hangover into your place of work or as a student as well, much play would most definitely affect your productivity/output. You don't go drinking and partying like it's the '70s, booging from one party to another, it makes absolutely no sense what so ever.
     Luckily, the weekend offers us a two day respite/break from the stresses of all those long working days, so don't carryover the hangover of the weekend into the working day. In conclusion i would say no matter how busy your day gets or how tight your schedule gets, just try to throw in something that would make you happy and ease off stress cause quite frankly it's something that's knocking at your door every day.
